Access Control

In access control, we use top world brands such as Suprema, Morpho, UTC Fire & Security, HID, Impro and Centurion Systems proximity or biometric systems, guaranteeing reliability of our access control solutions.

Specialist areas in access control include:

  • Biometric Access Control

Biometric access control solutions use fingerprint, hand geometry, face or vein readers for identification and authentication of users to control physical access into restricted areas.

Most physical access security systems in use today are based on tokens such as magnetic cards, identification numbers, and proximity cards. Because of the inability of such systems to detect false acceptance, they are sources of frequent security breaches. People can enter these systems with someone else’s token or ID number. The use of biometric readers for identification and authentication eliminates this type of security problem.

Heag Integrated Systems Ltd designs, supplies and installs both standalone and networked biometric access control systems that use the MorphoAccess range of fingerprint readers from Safran (www.morpho.com), Suprema range of fingerprint readers from Suprema (www.suprema.com), Bioscrypt range of fingerprint readers from Bioscrypt (www.bioscrypt.com), and hand readers from Recognition Systems, Inc (www.schlage.com).

Some biometric readers have keypads and LCD displays that facilitate programming in standalone applications although most of them have TCP/IP connectivity for remote terminal management in both standalone and network modes. These readers offer standard interface, such as, Wiegand, RS485, Data & Clock or Ethernet, to return the ID to the host computer.

Brochures of the different fingerprint readers are available on request in both electronic form and hard copy.

  • Proximity Access Control

We also design, supply and install proximity access control solutions that use Suprema, UTC Fire & Security, Centurion Systems (www.centsys.co.za) and Impro (www.impro.net) card readers. These solutions can be either standalone or networked.

Just like biometric readers, some proximity card readers have keypads and LCD displays.

On client request, we can print the access cards into ID cards so that they can be used as company IDs and access cards as well.

Brochures of proximity card readers can also be made available on request.

  • Single Door Standalone Keypads

Single door standalone keypads are full controllers that control a single door in standalone mode.

Heag Integrated Systems Ltd is the sole distributor of Centurion Systems access automation equipment in Malawi (visit www.centysys.co.za for more information). The company, therefore, markets the popular standalone Smart Guard keypads in Malawi on top of the other range of access automation equipment from Centurion Systems (which include both industrial and domestic gate operators, garage door operators, both standalone and network proximity access control systems, automatic traffic barriers including claw spike systems, intercom systems, infrared beams, remote controls and receivers, among others).

The Smart Guard keypad is very popular because of its reliability, ease of use and low price.

  • Automatic Turnstiles

We supply and install Turnstar automatic turnstiles of various types and sizes (which come with a five-year guarantee on the ROTALOK rotation locking mechanisms without routine maintenance and the ROTARUN perpetual base bearings with zero maintenance). These turnstiles can be controlled by any of the access control readers (biometric/proximity or keypads) that we are marketing.

  •  Gate/Garage Door Operators, Automatic Traffic Barriers (Booms) and Claws Spike Systems

Heag Integrated System Ltd is the sole distributor of Centurion Systems access automation equipment in Malawi. Centurion Systems is the leading manufacturer of reliable access automation equipment in Africa. The equipment includes sliding and swing gate operators (for both domestic and industrial applications), garage door operators, traffic barriers and claw spike systems. These systems can be operated using remote controls, card readers, biometric readers, push buttons or using inductive loop detectors.

  • Other Systems

Other systems include roller shutter doors, access control booths (mantraps) and bollards.
