We also supply and install Bosch and Aritech (another UTC Fire & Security brand) smoke detection systems. These systems include the conventional and addressable smoke detection systems and advanced early warning smoke detection systems that use the aspirating smoke detection.
Aspirating smoke detection systems are ideal for the protection of equipment in data centres (server rooms) or switch rooms where specialist air conditioning is maintained all the time. In these environments, conventional fire detectors are rendered useless in providing adequate warning because of high airflow that often deflects the smoke away from the detectors. These systems detect smoke before the human eye can see it and, therefore, provide adequate time for the fire to be attended to in its insipient stage.
There are both standalone and integrated fire systems with automatic gas control units and extinguishing panels. If fully automated, the fire system can automatically switch off equipment including air conditioners and release gas to extinguish the fire when a certain level of alert is not acknowledged by personnel monitoring the system.
